So. A fridge/freezer, eh? Wikipedia redirects fridge/freezer to refrigerator, and describes it as follows:
“A refrigerator is a cooling apparatus. The common household appliance (often called a “fridge” for short) comprises a thermally insulated compartment and a heat pump—chemical or mechanical means—to transfer heat from it to the external environment (i.e., the room in which it is located), cooling the contents to a temperature below ambient. Cooling is a popular food storage technique in developed countries and works by decreasing the reproduction rate of bacteria. The device is thus used to reduce the rate of spoilage of foodstuffs”
Now, as what you’re selling doesn’t regulate temperature or decrease the reproduction rate of bacteria, I think what you have there is a ‘box’.
Ah yes, Phillps, that well-known brand. Know for their reliability are Phillps.
“FAULTY HOLE IN PANEL”
Oh, that’s not like a Phillps to have a faulty hole.
How exactly is it faulty, does it not let stuff through like a hole should?
How does a hole go faulty anyway?
A break from the norm this one; something undamaged that no-one wants, rather than something utterly buggered that lots of people try to outbid each other for.
“It has a small map of Tenerife on in, has never been used”
What? Not even to find your way back to the hotel or the airport?
Whaddya mean you don’t even know what network it’s on?
Take a good look at the photo reflected in the screen, is this the man who mugged you for your phone? Looks like he’s only going to get a fiver for it, so next time have your charger on you so he can have that as well.
There is a strong possibility over the next few months that he will be found at car boot sales in the North London area, trying to rebuild his games collection when he really ought to be spending his money on a decent shed instead.
As long as he doesn’t start selling ‘slightly damaged/near mint/rare & collectible’ games at the same time we shouldn’t have any problems.
Pop quiz, hotshots:
Someone offers for a sale a model Skoda with a dodgy paint job for almost £10 – What do you do?
a) Think “Sounds about right” and snigger to yourself.
b) Exclaim “Sod off! You could get a real one for about that price!”
Whichever you choose, however, you are no-doubt forgetting that:
“Skoda is now a Subsidery of the Volkswagen Group”
Although, this one is:
“Manufactured in China by “Hongwell Toys Ltd” for Abrex s.r.o. Czech”
So I’m not entirely sure how relevant that first quote is and thus how reliable this car may be in the long run.
Might as well quote the mpg of the real thing or what kind of manufacturer’s parts & labour warranty it comes with.
Sorry.
This increase is presumably on the grounds that it attracted zero bids in the past because it was listed at so low a price that people didn’t realise it was actually worth something.
Specifically they have failed to realise a broken version of an early generation version of a portal games console is worth about 50% of the value of a new one (which retails at £99.99).
Okay, so there is a bit missing (okay sure, it’s a joystick, but you don’t need that for some games anyway) but it comes with GTA! Okay so the copy of GTA is a bit broken, but there is no joystick anyway, so it’s not like your missing out.
I advise getting a bid in now, before it’s re-listed at a higher price.
